I spent my whole savings on a camera and a guess.
That was the beginning of it. I wanted people to feel beautiful and worth photographing, and I did not have a plan much past that.
The first full year ended and I was still doing it.
By the close of 2025 I had photographed seniors, couples, engagements, families, branding sessions and maternity shoots. I got to photograph my best friend’s graduation and another best friend’s engagement, which is not the sort of thing you can plan for and is still the part I talk about most.
Since then a set of my photographs ran in Swish Magazine, and I booked my first wedding. I photograph The Boro Breakfast Club here in Murfreesboro.
Between all of that I am finishing a business administration degree and working a social media management job, which is why I answer messages at strange hours and why I am very good at a tight schedule.
Telling your story and making you feel beautiful in it is my favorite part of all of this.
I am endlessly thankful the Lord gave me this job, and I intend to glorify Him with every picture I take.
About ten minutes in, you will forget the camera is there.

Walk toward me. Tell him the thing you told me in the car. Pick her up. People smile like they mean it when they are busy doing something, and that is the whole method.

Wear the thing you already own
Half my favorite photographs happened because the light was good and we stopped what we were doing. You can put down the mood board you have been building for three weeks.
